Naturally, people on the PC side of things were able to find a way to get around the ending situation. The original intent was to give players a reason to reflect on the story, but sometimes things don’t land as intended. Part of that change was the backlash, and part of it was legitimate issues with things like sleep timers on consoles causing data corruption. After this discovery was met with some backlash, the developers changed the eight hours to two and a half. You also can’t play the game more until you keep going. Originally, it required eight hours to pass, with the game running, for the ending to proceed.
To make a long story short, part of the Superhot: Mind Control Delete ending requires the player to leave the game running for actual, real-life hours. In fact, some folks have gone as far as to find ways to brute force past it.

It isn’t a huge deal, but enough of a gaming oddity that the developers have opted to go back and tweak it a bit, and players are still unsure of how to feel about it. This game has been out long enough now for some folks to get to the end, and with the Superhot: Mind Control Delete ending came a strange sort of controversy that you would only find in a game like this. A sequel is out now, called Superhot: Mind Control Delete. It was like a sci-fi alternative to John Wick, especially for the VR versions. In fact, their relative seems to be involved in the murders and the occult, but there must be more to the truth than initial appearances.Superhot was a game that seemed to come out of nowhere, then turn into a staple, a must-have for anyone who likes action movies and solving puzzles. Complicating matters is the fact that the town has bee plagued by macabre murders and strange phenomena, which are allegedly related to occult rituals of devil worship and witchcraft. Viktoria must battle her own demons as she tries to get redemption by finding out what happened to her missing father.įor those in need of a refresher, in Saint Kotar, players take control of Benedek and Nikolay, two men of God who must search for a missing relative in an ancient rural town of Sveti Kotar. Players will now be able to delve into her side of the story, and experience what happened the night before the start of the main game. The Ritual DLC introduces a new playable character to Saint Kotar in Viktoria.

However, the Steam version of Saint Kotar will receive the free DLC “The Ritual” in its place. Originally scheduled for release on consoles this Friday, developer Red Marty Entertainment and publisher SOEDESCO have announced that their point-and-click psychological horror game Saint Kotar will see its console release pushed to November. Well, except for the killing and the gore part.
You’ll have to use your slo-mo power to avoid bullets while also returning fire in some Matrix-esque (or is that Max Payne-esque?) scenes that could be described as beautiful. You apparently also don’t reload, since you’ll be grabbing your victim’s guns and using them in lieu of ammo pickups.Īnd yes, much like Hotline Miami, you’ll die in The Cleaner. As the Steam page says, there’s no cliché storyline, and no cutscenes.
There’s really not much more to it than that. The story for The Cleaner is pretty simple: You are a cleaner that has the unique power of slowing down time (a la Superhot). As you can see from the trailer below, The Cleaner proudly touts that it’s a delightful mix of John Wick, Superhot and Hotline Miami.
